CCSD Updates for On-Campus Learning due to State Metrics

Here is the weekly update regarding the metrics and the roll-out of the return of students to limited in-person instruction in the Central Curry School District.

The State COVID-19 metrics have been released and, as predicted, do not allow the opening of both schools to on-campus learning at this time. However, if the reports on October 27, November 3 and November 10 show allowable data, then the District would have the potential to open up in the hybrid model the week of November 16. During tomorrow night's Board meeting, there will be discussion of these options as it relates to our Operational Blueprint and acknowledgement by the Curry County Public Health Department for the opening of who and when in the hybrid model.

With that said, the District is pleased to announce that Riley Creek will begin bringing in K-2 and possibly grades 3-5 students starting on Monday, November 2. Under the rules of CDL (Comprehensive Distance Learning), cohorts or groups of up to ten students can come to school for two hours a day. Students will attend their synchronous online lessons in the morning and then come on campus from 1:00 - 3:00. Transportation will be provided for those who request it. Notification to families will begin on Wednesday afternoon. PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT THE SCHOOL OFFICE; LET THEM CALL YOU WITH ALL THE INFORMATION YOU WILL NEED.

We appreciate your patience and support during distance learning. Please let me know if you have any questions by sending an email to twilson@ccsd.k12.or.us.
