NOTICE OF BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING

A public meeting of the Budget Committee of the Central Curry School District #1, Curry County, State of Oregon, on the budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016, will be held at the Gold Beach High School Library at 29516 Ellensburg Ave. The meeting will take place on May 27, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to receive the budget message. This is a public meeting where deliberation of the Budget Committee will take place.

An additional, separate meeting of the Budget Committee will be held to take public comment. Any person may appear at the meeting and discuss the proposed programs with the Budget Committee. The meeting for public comment will be on May 28, 2015 at 6:00 p.m., held at the Gold Beach High School Library.

A copy of the budget document may be inspected or obtained after May 27, 2015 at the District Office at 29516 Ellensburg Ave. between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Who can serve on the budget committee?


Appointed budget committee members must be qualified voters of the local government who have the right to vote on the adoption of any measure. They cannot be employees, officers, or agents of CCSD#1.

How long is a budget committee member term?

Budget committee members are appointed for staggered, three-year terms.

Is this a paid position?


No member of the budget committee can receive compensation for serving on the committee.     





The Strategic Plan Committee (consisting of parents, teachers, administration, local business owners and a student) has been working for several months on creating a list of objectives to help guide the school district over the next 5 years.
